Volume Controls

Volume controls are used to set the sound level of a speaker locally when a remote amplifier provides the power. The control provides the appropriate resistance to the amplifier compensating for the speaker's impedance and the number of speakers connected to the amplifier. Without this functionality, the amplifier can be damaged due to a low impedance connection to the speakers.

Controls are available for amplifiers of 20 Watts up to 200 Watts. The higher capability devices will also require a larger box to accommodate a higher power transformer. Units are available with an "Off" position and IR sensors for remote control of equipment.
